Silver Print Collection

2018

These prints represent the passing of a year for the artist as they document his movements and moments at rest. The film was exposed and developed usually within days or weeks, and certainly within the year of their printing and release. In creating this sort of time-based narrative, a challenge ensued in editing and sequencing on the fly, continuing an ongoing thread, and responding to previous images, ideas, and emotions.

The 2018 Silver Print Collection contains 52 gelatin-silver prints made by Eliot Dudik throughout the calendar year. A selection of those prints have been made available here. One print was released at the end of each week in an edition of seven with two artist proofs. Each print was made on fiber based, semi-matte, warmtone paper and selenium toned. All prints are titled, numbered, and signed on the verso in pencil.
